What are your LIMITS???

You can only achieve to the extent of limits set by you for yourself...

Expand your limits. Don't confine yourself to what you did last year, last week or even yesterday.


It is always you. 

YOU define your limits. And it's you who can expand them when you want. Now is the time to create goals high enough to ignite your spirit and inspire you to take action.

Friends - what a better time to plan ahead than vacations - Lets think BEYOND MAXIMUM in these 5 days of vacation ahead - Lets think what we can / want to achieve in next month, quarter, year, 2 years - and make a plan to achieve it - and then do it...

If you're not excited -- every single day -- you need new goals. The higher the goal, the more it will excite and motivate you. Plan big. Why set mediocre, minimally acceptable goals?

Life's greatest satisfaction comes from attaining goals that you once believed were beyond reach. If most of your goals are forgotten before they're achieved, you clearly need to create more exciting, more stimulating, more intoxicating, more adventurous, more ambitious and more heart-felt goals.

This Deepavali lets Create goals high enough to ignite your spirit (your inner deepak) and inspire you to take action!!

Don't be a Spoon - Be the knife...

We are most of the time BUSY in things like... Television - Internet - Phone - email - Gossip - Unnecessary Meetings & Discussions - all wastes time.

These moments lost are irretrievable, gone, kaput, vanished forever into the void of the past.



Try to cut a watermelon with a spoon - and then with a knife. Pretty easy with the knife - right?

Busy is being the spoon. Productive is being the knife. 
Focus on what you need to get done and do it. 

Take a blank sheet of paper and draw a line down the middle. At the top of the left side, write the word "Important-things that affect your short-term / mid-term objectives directly" and at the top of the right side write the word "Unimportant-things you love/want to do". Now write down all the things you currently do and the things you wish you did and classify them as one or the other.

Next, identify which of the items in both lists you consider to be urgent by putting a capital 'U' beside it. When you're done you will have the beginnings of a system to prioritize how you spend your time.

Anything that is non-important and non-urgent should be, for the most part, removed from your life.

So, get focused on the important tasks. Stop wasting time (and your life).

Be the knife.

Problem Solver OR Problem Creator ???

You will be remembered for one of two things: 
the problems you solve or the ones you create.

Think about a former/current boss, colleague, roommate, neighbor, love relationship, childhood friend, business partner, school teacher, etc. Each person either solved problems or created them for you. They either helped you and improved you or caused you grief and brought you down. 



Now get on the other side of that list: How does each of these people remember you? For the problems you solved for them or the ones you created?

With every door you hold open, smile you flash, encouragement you offer, comment you make - you are making a deposit into someone’s life. The best part of this form of giving is that your ability to give is limitless, and in the end, the feeling of fulfillment you get makes you the greatest recipient.

You don’t have to be a business owner, top management or even a team leader or a manager - to make a difference in the world. For all the people you touch every day, you make an indelible difference in their world.

You are always making a difference, every day and in every moment - positive or negative.

Who is the Problem??? YOU or the PROBLEM???

Whenever there is a problem we either deny it saying there is no problem or sit to solve the problem and make it a big issue. 

Neither of these help!! 

A problem does not disappear when you deny it. And it does not get solved when you sit to solve it.

The 6 steps to solve a problem:
  1. Acknowledge the problem - it is there.
  2. See it as a small problem, and do not say it is big.
  3. If it concerns people, keep in touch with them instead of avoiding them.
  4. Talk less and give time a chance.
  5. Enjoy and Value the experience the problem is providing you. 
  6. Get together with your friends and celebrate. When you celebrate and put the problem on the back burner you will see that the problem will get solved by the way.

So it is wise not to sit to solve a problem. Most of the meetings to solve problems end up in disaster. 
If you do not have any problem, you will create problems for others! (laughter) 
If you have a small problem in your pocket to solve, it will give a focus to your mind. 
If you do not have any problems, you may be a problem for others. 

It is better to have a problem than to be a problem.

Identify your most and least productive time slots in a day.

Schedule your top priorities for when you are at your mental and physical peak. Assign the rest for less energetic periods.

Don't try to take on your toughest tasks when you're only capable of running at half speed. And don't waste your prime hours on your least productive chores.

Schedule your day around your most productive time periods. 


You schedule your most demanding tasks for times when you are more energetic and your least demanding tasks for those times when your energy is low.

Matching your energy and moods to the tasks at hand allows you to be at your best when you need it the most.

Divide and Rule...

We have always seen the negative side of "Divide and Rule"

Today lets see the positive side...

Divide your time into many tasks and 
subdivide every large task into smaller tasks.

Approach the smaller units with single-minded focus and determination. 

Soon, the whole job will be done and you will not even realize when you finished them.

You will always produce better results, personally and professionally, when you break large tasks into a sequence of immediately "do-able" actions. 

When seen in their entirety, complex projects / targets appear too overwhelming. However, even the most complex task is only a sequence of smaller, "do-able" steps that can be taken one at a time. Isolate the individual steps, and begin them right away. 

To achieve larger goals, you have to take one small step at a time. 

Start off with the smaller steps, or goals, and slowly working towards the bigger goals. 

Remember - when you see a large size pizza you think - how am i gonna eat this????
But then you finish the whole - by attacking one piece at a time :)

A Superior Attitude will produce results - today or tomorrow..

Attitude, is more important than facts.

It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think, say or do.

It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break a company ... a school ... a home.

The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. 

We cannot change our past ... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way ... we cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is plan on the one thing we have, and that is our superior attitude.

I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it.

Single tasking is the only way to Multi-tasking!!!


Focus on one task at a time... Prioritize!!!

By choosing what is most important now, you eliminate conflict between what you're doing and what you think you should be doing.

Be Aware of your priorities for every hour/day/week/month…

This will give you a clear DIRECTION to FOCUS your energy to your current priorities without guilt, and with minimal interference and distraction.



Focus on just ONE Role/Project/task at a Time...
What is your priority in next 1 hour / 1 day??? – Just do it !!!


Ask yourself...
  • Did you stay totally focused on each task you undertook today? Did you work as per your priority list? 
  • How much more productive will you be when you constantly maintained your focus on the project at hand? 
  • You should know that the reason you can't get to the other activities is because YOU have CHOOSEN the first to be more important? 
Roles are the parts you play in the different areas of your life. A role includes a specific identity, unique responsibilities and a defined relationship with others.

How you act, and what you do, are always dependent on which role you choose at the time.

The key is to know what you want in next 1 hour/day – and to confirm that it's the right one – then put 100% focus on that

Positive Thinking Week


Friends - Lets celebrate this week as a "Positive Thinking Week"

Why Positive thinking???

1. Negative people never really contribute much of anything to this world. Check history - all people you would remember were extremely positive minded.

2. Everything in life is a challenge (negative people call it PROBLEMS) -- by managing your response and reaction to challenges - you can define your future.

3. Focus on the right things. You can go through life concentrating on the flowers or fertilizer - Be aware of the fertilizer BUT focus on flowers.

4. Negative people claim to be "realistic." BUT they never seem to see the real good things around them, but only the bad. Maintaining a positive outlook will bring new ideas and possibilities. That's the "real realistic" view.

5. People, who have a better outlook on life tend to live a healthier, longer, better life. Just see our politicians – actors – most of the people in power or public life.

6. People who keep positive adjust better to the challenges (mentally) that come their way. Most of the psychological problems are the direct result of looking at things from the wrong perspective, and as a result, not adjusting to the changes that life brings. 

7. One of the greatest challenges people have in life is staying focused - at work, home, or on the road - as a result, they get lost. Like the magnifying glass that you used to concentrate the sun's rays, when we're focused, we can set our world and our jobs on fire.

8. People with a more positive outlook tend to see more options, have more patience, and try and work things through more clearly. Negative people tend to focus on the more negative approaches to problems, and as a result, they may limit their alternatives to a significant extent.

9. Positively seeing new options leads to new opportunities. Seeds tend to grow best in ground that has been well prepared.

10. When you have a positive attitude, you go higher, do better and achieve more.

I love the old tale about the two shoe salesmen going to a remote part of Africa. 

One, completely discouraged by what he saw, called his company and said: "It's a complete waste of time, bring me home, they don't like shoes here". 

The other, bursting with enthusiasm said "Get a shipment ready, you are not going to believe this, there is no competition here. Nobody has any shoes."

To really see opportunities we have to step away from our paradigm, the believe system we have created through our past experience. 

We have to clear our mind of any prejudice. Only then can we really see what is laid out before us.

My Guruji says: "Don't go by what people say - go by what they do"....

Friends - If you want to learn about people - Don’t observe, see or listen - what they say - Just focus on what they do - and you will no their real beliefs - intentions - and their real-self.


If they charge for AMUL butter but use/mix local butter when the client isn't looking
If they snicker/change behind the people’s back
If they always act/speak thinking of – what others will think? / How they will react?
If they don't pay attention to or cut you short when you are talking to them
If they argue with a customer instead of delighting them
If they copy work and pass it as their own - take other people's credit
If they shade the truth a little - everytime
If they lobby to preserve the unsustainable status quo
If they network to get, not to give
If they do as little as they can get away with

...then you already know who they are.

Applies on you also – never forget – people (small or big / educated or uneducated / experienced or inexperienced) are evaluating you every time you act - and comparing your action/reactions with your words.


Don’t hide the truth…
People will know anyway…



Think before you speak - Let your action / reactions prove what you speak.

Are your decisions, actions and behavior - ruled by Fear & Anxiety???

Fear was given to us by God to alert/protect us from tangible threat and danger.

However we start to live in fear or anticipation of imaginative events when there is no likelihood of harm being done to us.

Anxiety and fear dominates our thoughts, action, decisions and behavior – and becomes our DESTINY

What causes us to be fearful, anxious or lose our Courage/Dignity?
All types of fear including - Fear of Failure / Intimacy / Poverty/financial reversal / Future / old age / Robbery / attack /

And you end up unhappy, frustrated and alienate those they love & work with most.

3 Steps for tackling anxiety:

STEP 1 - Observe and Re-direct your thinking - tell Yourself:

“No – Stop! I reject these fearful negative thoughts. I refuse to be controlled by fears and what ifs.” “ I refuse to think these thoughts any longer!”

“The truth is whatever happens GOD will sustain and help you. You are not alone.”

STEP 2 - Observe your BEHAVIOR. Do you regret what you say/do after saying/doing??

Many times we loose control of how we are acting / behaving - and we suffer negative consequences.

"THNIK" about the consequences - "DECIDE" - "TRUST" your decision - then act/talk

STEP 3 - Are you trying to feel safe by trying to minutely control situations and people??


Control only 1-2-or-5 key items - LET GO CONTROL of everything else to others - you can’t control them anyway.

Friends – Don’t be afraid of unknown - Be Confident - Keep full Faith and trust in GOD, your DESTINY and YOURSELF.

Talent?? Hardwork?? Luck?? OR Destiny??


TALENT?? Is talent born or is it nurtured? 
I believe you are NEVER born with talent - Talent is actually realized and nurtured with focused hardwork. Repetition, Focus, Hardwork & Passion - is paramount in developing talent

HARDWORK?? Is that something that is born in you? 
You are never born lazy or a hard worker – it was always your choice.
Hard work is paramount to becoming what you want to be. 
The “Most Talented” will fail if they don’t do hardwork.

LUCK?? So are Talent and Hardwork enough??? 
I believe there is NO LUCK. You need to create your own luck.  
Develop your talent, work hard and then using that information and strength - make calculated decisions and wise moves. Your good decisions are your good luck and bad decisions are bad luck.  

DESTINY?? Can you change your destiny???
Not totally - I believe you are born with a destiny and maybe you cannot change it totally - but with talent, hardwork & Good decisions you can be more prepared to experience it positively and prepare yourself to live your destiny. This can convert every setback or negative event to a positive experience.


Friends - There is no SECRET to SUCCESS - There is no Luck!!
Choose, Focus & Develop your TALENT, work HARD, work SMART, take correct DECISIONS and write your own DESTINY.


BELIEVE in yourself and think that you too are a SUCCESS material.

Who is more beautiful?? Butterfly or Caterpillar??

Outward appearances are deceiving, so don't be too quick to judge.

Caterpillars are UGLY WORMS.

After caterpillar goes through a process of building a silken chrysalis and go into hibernation - they become further MORE UGLY - and then the miracle happens!!!

The UGLY caterpillar  is now a thing of beauty. Colorful wings – freedom of flight - flying from flower to flower sucking up the nectar of life...

Everybody likes BEAUTIFUL butterflies.

God made butterflies to teach us lessons about life and make us more tolerant and less judgmental.

Don't be quick to judge yourself in a harsh manner.



You have to be a caterpillar before you can become a butterfly; there is no other way. God is working behind the scenes, taking care of the details, and things are going to work out.

God has a dream for your life that is better than you can imagine.

You have to permit GOD to do what he is trying to do with you - get into agreement with His plan, there's no limit to how good your life can become.

Be proud to be a caterpillar - only caterpillar can become a butterfly :)
