Is Your House Burning???

The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small, uninhabited island. He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him, and every day he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming. Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect him from the elements, and to store his few possessions.

But then one day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, the smoke rolling up to the sky. The worst had happened; everything was lost.

He was stunned with grief and anger. "God, how could you do this to me!" he cried.

Early the next day, however, he was awakened by the sound of a ship that was approaching the island. It had come to rescue him. "How did you know I was here?" asked the weary man of his rescuers. "We saw your smoke signal," they replied.

Friends - It is easy to get discouraged when things are going bad, but we shouldn't lose heart, because God is at work in our lives, even in the midst of pain and suffering.

Remember, next time your little hut is burning to the ground, it just may be a smoke signal that summons the grace of God.

Be positive and hopeful in every condition – Keep trying – Trust yourself – Trust God

You never know which of your pains or problems is a boon in disguise.

Good Day Friends J Enjoy your pains and problems and treat them as opportunities – You never know!!!

Beware of Snakes...

A young girl was trudging along a mountain path, trying to reach her grandmother's house. It was bitter cold and wind cut like a knife. When she was within sight of her destination, she heard a rustle at her feet. Looking down, she saw a snake. Before she could move, the snake spoke to her. He said, "I'm about to die. It is too cold for me up here, and I am freezing. There is no food in these mountains, and I am starving. Please put me under your coat and take me with you." "No," replied the girl. If I pick you up, you will bite me, and your bite is poisonous." "No, no." said the snake. "If you help me you will be my best friend, I will treat you differently." The little girl sat down on a rock for a moment to rest and think things over. She looked at the beautiful markings on the snake and had to admit that it was the most beautiful snake she had ever seen. Suddenly, she said, "I believe you, I will save you. All living things deserve to be treated with kindness." The little girl reached over, put the snake gently under her coat and proceeded toward her grandmother's house. Within a moment, she felt a sharp pain in her side. The snake had bitten her. "How could you do this to me?" She cried, "You promised that you would not bite me if I would protect you from the bitter cold?" The snake hissed, "You knew what I was when you picked me up," and slithered away. Good Story – but the million dollar question is – How to recognize a Snake??? – very difficult??? NO – It is very Simple – Whenever you see someone doing the below to others – my guruji has told me that it is 100% guaranteed that someday this SNAKE will bite you also: 1- Talking ill about others on their back 2- Cheating / Not keeping commitment / Changing Words / Exploiting - others 3- Ridiculing, Joking, Saying words , insulting – others behind their back 4- Painting different pictures to different people on the same matter 5- Telling petty lies in every small matter to achieve results and many more such things…. Friends – it is also important to note that if someone is doing this for his bread and living – it is pardonable – BUT if someone is doing this for the luxuries of life OR out of habit – these are true SNAKES. Friends – it is not only important to RECOGNIZE these snakes – but it is more important to learn how to live with these SNAKES – if you cannot eliminate them from your life. …and one last one… Friends – If the SNAKE bites you – please don’t blame the SNAKE – blame yourself for not recognizing the SNAKE at the right time. Happy SNAKE catching Friends J Please do a self-check also – to check if you are a SNAKE J

The Single Most Important Prerequisite For Success...

The Single Most Important Prerequisite for Success is Self-Discipline

Discipline? – it doesn't sound like fun – it is such a pain and suffering.

Hearing the word discipline almost makes you want to rebel, as though you were a school kid who knows that it must mean trouble.

Friends - Recognize that self-discipline can be your greatest assets.

It will differentiate you from your competition. It can make all of the difference for you in every area of your life.

Your Attitude and Self-Discipline are the areas in life where you can have total control.

The Attitude and Self-Discipline you choose on a moment-by-moment basis will have a direct effect on the quality of your life and the magnitude of your achievements.

Self-discipline is about making a decision or choice to deny yourself momentary pleasure - for a better future.

It is a willing to listen to the voice that opts for excellence instead of settling for just being average.

Every decision you make today, will define your future.

When you make decisions, you must consider the long-term consequences of the decision that you are making that moment.

It is important to realize that – though appearance & presentation counts.

But - never forget, that your daily habits that reflect self-discipline (or not) will tell other people about what you really are.

Friends - People respect, trust and follow those who:

“exercises self-discipline and delayed gratification” rather then

“lives just for the moment with no strong sense of commitment to greater goals and dreams”
